2007 Body Image Art Auction a success!

Thanks to all the supporters of this community education project, the 2007 Body Image Art Auction was a complete success. Please enjoy these photos of the event and we look forward to making this project continue. Half of the art was sold in one single evening, and we will be holding a second viewing of the art on September 30th. Please call 940-808-0852 for more information.

Christal - Favors House - 722 W. Oak

The traditional mission home was built in 1906 for Exchange National
Bank President, J.R. Christal, and the family lived there until 1936.
A remodeled old carriage house stands in the back. In 1939 Mr. and
Mrs. M.S. Webster bought the house, and Mr. and Mrs. John P. Favors
purchased the house in 1958. They lived upstairs and operated a
pre-school downstairs until 1975. The house has six fireplaces,
the dining room ceiling is embossed copper, and one fireplace is believed to be made of Rookwood Art Pottery. Currently, the house is
used as the Chrysalis Educational Foundation and helps educate men and women about eating disorders in North texas.
